The LRS model of adding features if a member is part of the game seems to work well.

If we feel ambitious ("we" meaning mostly "you"...), we could incorporate a turn-based mode for email play or whatever -- and certainly the X-Com games we played lent themselves well to that model -- but my own fond memories of Sneak are real-time.
If we go real-time, I'd like to take an approach that is not reliant on connection quality...for example, your run/walk/sneak speed will be set by the game, not by how fast you can hit arrow keys. In other words, you can set yourself running in a direction, and the game keeps you running in that direction until you change something.
I have some desire to do a turn-based wargame style thing (perhaps learning from the very popular new board game, Memoir 44, which I own but haven't played yet!), but that can always be a future game, or perhaps a mode of this or something.

Military it shall be then!
Futuristic or modern? (Curly fries or onion rings?)
Today has been totally devoted to LRS, but tomorrow perhaps I'll get the first lines of code in on this. |
